Michael Anderson is Associate Professor of Classics and Classical Archaeology at San Francisco State University. He was the final Field Director of the Anglo-American Project responsible for the Casa del Chirurgo and worked on the excavations from 1996 until 2006. He is now directing a new research project in Pompeii (the Via Consolare Project).
